Stoned Ware (Session 3) 2026

Service Description

Monday nights from 5:45-8:15pm, March 30th - May 4th In this six-week course, students will create their own customized smokeware pieces and accessories. This isn’t high school ceramics, so don’t worry about disguising your bong as a vase! The class will cover water bongs, pipes, ashtrays, stash jars, rolling trays, and more, but anything to make your smoking experience more fun is on the table! This class is designed for intermediate students and will combine both throwing and hand building components. Glass down stem included! Week 1 -Introduce smokeware design and options for pipes. - Thrown ashtray Week 2 - Discuss design plans for both types of bongs. - Thrown bongs, two options: one piece and two pieces Week 3 - Trim bongs and finish any wet design work. - Bong assembly and trimming Week 4 - Continue work on smokeware accessories. - Throw and handbuilt pipes and one-hitters. - Corked joint tubes Week 5 - Glaze fire water pipe before next class! - Underglaze technique demo Week 6 - Glaze all remaining work. Assemble bongs with glassware and optional trial session.
