Thursdays @ 6:30-9:00PM, June 25-August 6 **No class on June 29-July5** This 6-week Teapot 101 course is for wheel throwing enthusiasts looking to advance their skills and master the art of teapot making. You will learn how to throw all the components of a teapot, assemble them, and apply glazes correctly. **independently: centering, opening up, pulling up the walls, and trimming.** Students in Teapot 101 will have extended open studio hours (Mondays-Thursdays until 9pm). Week1; Intro to teapots and throwing off the hump Revisit basics of ram's-head and spiral wedging Week2; Throw the pieces of your teapot Throw the body, lid, spout, and handle of your teapot Week3; Assembly Trim your components and assemble the various parts of your teapot Week4; Workday - Complete the set Week5; Workday Week6; Glaze Day All-inclusive including: - 25lbs of clay - 6-weeks of 2.5 hours of instruction - Unlimited use of the studio during open studio hours - Firing fees - Glazes
