Intro WW: Wall Mounted Coat Rack (5B)
3-week 6-session Beginner Woodworking Course Meets twice a week
Service Description
In this six-session introductory woodworking class, students will build a handcrafted wall-mounted coat rack, a sleek and functional piece that teaches essential woodworking skills along the way. This project is designed to give beginners a strong foundation in both hand and machine tool use. Students will learn how to read wood grain, mill lumber flat and square, and bring parts to final dimensions. Throughout the course, students will safely operate key shop tools including the jointer, planer, table saw, band saw, miter saw, router table, drill press, and sanders. You'll also explore decorative profiling, sanding techniques, finishing processes, and proper installation of wall-mount hardware. Tools Taught: 1. Miter saw 2. Jointer 3. Planer 4. Table saw 5. Band saw 6. Router table 7. Drill press / cordless drill 8. Belt and orbital sander Monday and Wednesday Nights from 6pm- 9pm Class dates: Week 1: 21st and 23rd Week 2: 28th and 30th Week 3: 4th and 6th
