Service Description
In this hands-on class, students will craft a beautiful set of wavy checkerboard coasters and a custom-fitted display box — a project designed to introduce both the fundamentals of woodworking and the satisfaction of creative craftsmanship. This project uses a wide range of essential shop tools including the planer, jointer, table saw, band saw, sander, and router table. Students will explore techniques like glue-ups, shaping, and fitting precision joinery while learning how to safely operate core woodworking machines. Along the way, you’ll develop an eye for clean lines, learn to problem-solve wood movement and fit, and leave with both the skills and confidence to take on more ambitious woodworking projects — plus a stunning handcrafted set of coasters to show off!
