Intro to Woodworking: Boxes (S4)
6-week Beginner Woodworking Course
Service Description
Learn the fundamentals of fine woodworking in this 6-week introductory class. Throughout the course, students will build several small boxes while gaining hands-on experience with all of the major woodworking machines, including the miter saw, jointer, planer, table saw, band saw, and router table. This class emphasizes smaller-scale woodworking, precision joinery, and creative problem-solving in the shop. Students will be introduced to three essential joints: the butt joint, rabbet joint, and miter joint. By the end of the course, students will have a solid foundation in both woodworking techniques and machine safety—along with a few beautiful boxes to take home.
