Wednesdays 6:30-9pm, January 7th - February 11th This six week course is designed for students who have taken 2 - 3 Intro to Clay classes but are not quite ready to move onto Next Step Wheel or Tableware. It is an excellent opportunity to build upon the wheelthrowing skills you have already begun to develop. Wedging and basic throwing skills will be reviewed, but with an emphasis on pushing students into new territory. Be prepared to take chances and make mistakes that will ultimately help you grow in your pottery journey! Week 1: Wedging, centering, opening, & pulling review Week 2: Simple bowls, plates, and vases, trimming review Week 3: Up, up, and away! How to make your forms taller Week 4: Individual work day, 1:1 help, demos by request Week 5: Advanced surface design & glazing techniques Week 6: Glaze party! Class includes: - 25 lbs of clay - 6-weeks of 2.5 hours of instruction - Unlimited use of studio during open studio hours - Firing fees - Glazes
