Hand Tools and Joinery (Session 3)

Service Description

In this class, students will learn the basics of using hand tools, including pull saws, chisels, and planes. Students will learn proper tool maintenance, how to use each tool properly, and have ample to time to practice. In the second half of class, students will apply their skills to the joinery on a shoji-style picture frame. Students in this course will benefit from an understanding of wood grain and common woodworking techniques, so it's recommended that they have taken a Beginner level woodworking course before. All materials for the class will be provided.
