Service Description

Thursdays @ 5:45-8:15pm, January 9th - February 13th In this immersive gardenware design class, participants will embark on a journey to infuse life into their garden. Focusing on the art of crafting cohesive themes, we'll delve into the realm of planters, bird feeders, and watering vessels, transforming them into captivating pieces that harmonize with nature and each other. Through a blend of hands-on practice, creative exploration, and expert guidance, students will learn the techniques needed to elevate their gardenware creations to new heights. Week 1- Introduction to Theme and Crafting vessels; the importance of design, sketching, and brainstorming. We will then begin throwing the vessels. Week 2- Assembling planters and talking about construction and drainage holes Week 3- Watering Vessels; Balancing aesthetics with functionality in watering vessel design (handles, spouts, form demos). Week 4- Throwing varying bird feeder forms Week 5- Trimming and finishing up projects Week 6-Finalizing and glazing All-inclusive including: - 25lbs of clay -6-weeks of 2.5 hours of instruction - Unlimited use of studio during open studio hours - Firing fees - Glazes
