Let Clayroom host your next party or group function

Our facility can accommodate up to 50 people and events are designed to be creative, casual (BYOB) and a lot of fun. Participants will learn basic techniques on the potter’s wheel, and/or hand-building techniques.

Wheel-throwing Olympics: Add a competitive spark to your event with fun wheel-throwing events

Group throwing: No not Ghost, but working as a team making pieces. Perfect for enhancing team building and for making planters for the office

Post Event Process

You Select the Glaze color for each piece and our team will do the rest in terms of bisque firing, glazing, glaze firing and boxing up all finished work. The post event process typically takes between 2-3 weeks. All finished work will be dishwasher, microwave and of course food safe.

Service Description

Minimum: 6 people, Maximum: 21 people

Your team will be guided through the basics of wheel-throwing to create your own unique cups, bowls, or vases by an instructor. This option is great for those looking for some focused, higher-energy fun.

Post-class:

- Selecting glaze colors for your finished work. Our team will do the rest.

Service Description

Minimum: 6 people, Maximum: 30 people

Handbuilding focuses on a variety of unique demos depending on the instructor, ranging from pinch pots, coil-building, and slabs (long sheets of clay) to make bowls, mugs, vases, coasters, hangers, etc... This lower-key option goes into surface decoration with the option for more personalization and creativity through design, texture, and layering of clay.

Serving Boards
Service Description

$110 per participant ; 2.5 hours

Minimum: 6 people, Maximum: 16 people

Learn the fundamentals of working with power tools by designing and making your own cutting/serving boards. Try your first taste of woodworking with this one time class. You'll make a simple shaped serving board with a handle. This class requires no woodworking experience and all the materials are included.

(For safety reasons alcohol won't be permitted during this event)

Muddler Making
Service Description

$110 per participant ; 3 hours

Maximum: 6 people

Learn the fundamentals of spindle-turning by making your own muddler! No woodworking or woodturning experience is necessary and all materials are supplied.

What to Expect:

- Set-up pre-cut spindle blanks on the lathe

- Practice shaping while creating beads and coves

- Create your final muddler design - Sand the muddler down

- Add a finish to your muddler
